Indoor assemblies are rated for plenum or riser spaces and optimized for controlled environments. Indoor/outdoor assemblies use UV-resistant and water-blocking materials, allowing them to transition between outdoor pathways and indoor spaces without needing a splice point.
When should I choose indoor/outdoor over armored outdoor assemblies?
Choose indoor/outdoor when you need a continuous run from an outdoor pathway into indoor plenum or riser spaces. Armored outdoor assemblies are better when additional protection against physical impact or rodent damage is required.

Why choose a lower strand assembly over a higher strand assembly?

Can these cables be run indoors?
Polyethylene (PE) OSP cables are limited to a maximum of 50 feet indoors due to fire code restrictions. Longer indoor runs require plenum or riser-rated cables.
